Ryan Tannehill has missed quite a bit of time this season due to injury issues, but the Miami Dolphins are hoping that he will be able to return to the field soon. In his absence, Brock Osweiler has stepped up and played well, but Miami knows that if they want to make a run at the playoffs, they will need Tannehill leading the charge.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Adam Gase is hopeful that Tannehill will return to the field in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Miami is currently sitting at 5-4 on the season and are looking like a team that could compete for a playoff spot in the AFC. They have been able to keep pace even without Tannehill in the lineup.

In the five games that he has played with the Dolphins this season, Tannehill has completed 65.9 percent of his pass attempts for 972 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has been consistent and has shown major improvement as a leader as well.

At 30 years old, the clock is ticking for Tannehill to prove that he can consistently be the guy for the Dolphins. While his talent and potential cannot be ignored, Tannehill's availability has come into question at times.

Gase and the Dolphins' offense has been performing much better than it has in years past. Getting him back healthy in Week 12 is going to be a major key for the rest of their season.

Hopefully, Tannehill doesn't suffer any setbacks and he is actually able to return in Week 12.
