The Miami Dolphins recently made a major change in the quarterback position by slotting in rookie gunslinger Tua Tagovailoa which relegated veteran playmaker Ryan Fitzpatrick to the backseat for the remainder of the season. Despite the change, the Dolphins are expected to use the same schemes ahead of their upcoming tilt against the Los Angeles Rams.

According to a report by NFL Network's Steve Wyche posted on Twitter:

“In terms of the scheme, they (Dolphins) are not going to tweak the offense. Gesicki said there are some game-specific changes, but they are gonna be doing the same RPO stuff that they did with Ryan Fitzpatrick, so nothing radical.”

Based on tight end Mike Gesicki's shared insights regarding the team's situation, Tagovailoa seemed to be unfazed with the recent promotion and has been the same guy dating back to his days as the Dolphins' QB2.

The team expects it to be a smooth transition for the Alabama product as he has already been participating in reps with the first team even before he was officially named as a starter. Tagovailoa and the rest of his teammates used the bye week to get their chemistry going and prepare for the surging Rams squad who currently hold a 5-2 record.

After accounting for a 3-3 tally, Dolphins head coach Brian Flores aims to have a better run in the latter stages of the season as they continue to exceed expectations set around his team. With Tua Tagovailoa now handling the reins, the Dolphins are all in to hopefully snag a spot in the postseason picture.
