The Minnesota Vikings beat the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card round last week. That put them in the Divisional Round of the playoffs where they will face off with the San Francisco 49ers.
However, there is a chance they are missing one of their best players in that game. Superstar wide receiver Adam Thielen has officially been ruled questionable for the contest, according to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The #Vikings officially list WR Adam Thielen (stitches) as questionable for their game against the #49ers, but there is hope that he plays.

Thielen was one of the best wide receivers in all of football in 2017 and 2018. In fact, in 2018 his numbers were absolutely ridiculous. Thielen racked up an absurd 113 receptions for 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns. All of those were career highs.
Due to that, hopes were high for him in 2019. The sky was truly the limit. However, injuries have gotten in the way all season long.
Thielen appeared in just 10 games, and missed significant time in a few of those outings. In that time, he recorded 30 receptions for 418 yards and six touchdowns. Clearly, the dynamic Thielen is still there, and could be an absolute factor in any game he appears in.
That's what makes this so tough for the Vikings. They have had to work through injuries with the wide receiver all year. But it could all be worth it if he was ready for the playoffs and could help the team make a serious Super Bowl push. Now he might not even be available for that.
The good news for quarterback Kirk Cousins is that they have other stars to get the ball to. Dalvin Cook is one of the best running backs in football. Meanwhile, Stefon Diggs is up there with the best wide receivers, and Kyle Rudolph is a fantastic tight end.
If Thielen is ruled out, his presence will definitely be missed. The Vikings could have the man power to overcome it though.
