The New England Patriots are coming off their sixth Super Bowl victory in franchise history. However, just like everyone else, New England will need to make some roster moves to cut its roster down to 53 players by Saturday.

As always, the Patriots seem to have a deep and talented roster; making their job to shear their roster even harder. The Patriots will play in one more preseason game on Thursday before they are required to make their roster decisions.

Through three weeks in the preseason, New England has a three-game win streak entering their final game against the New York Giants. Last week, the Patriots began the game with most of their starters on the field.

In typical fashion, Tom Brady started from under center and looked in mid-season form. The 42-year old quarterback was efficient, completing eight of his 12 passing attempts for 75 yards.

This week, things will be different as the starters will be on the sideline in street clothes. In the NFL, teams usually like to rest their starters in Week 4 of the preseason while allowing their younger players to receive more reps.

Again, all 32 teams will need to submit their 53-man rosters by Saturday. With that being said, here are three players who are on the roster bubble for the Patriots in their preseason finale.

3. Duke Dawson

The Patriots have one of the best secondaries in the NFL so there will be talented players who don't make the cut. Among the players who may have to hand in their playbook this week is Duke Dawson.

Dawson was selected by the Patriots in the second round of last year's draft out of Florida. Before the start of the 2018 season, Dawson was placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury.

Later in the year, the team activated the second-round pick but he failed to suit up in any of New England's games. Nonetheless, the Florida product received a Super Bowl ring like everyone else.

This season, the second-year cornerback could be on his way out as the team has to make some tough decisions on cut day. It also doesn't help that Dawson has yet to play in any of the Patriots' three preseason games so far.

2. Nick Brossette

Entering the 2019 season, the Patriots seem to be crowded in their backfield with an abundance of talent at the running back position. Sony Michel and James White will lead the way again, with Rex Burkhead and rookie Damien Harris expected to get some touches as well.

Along with the guys above, Brandon Bolden will carve out a role on special teams. That leaves Nick Brossette, an undrafted rookie out of LSU, in a rough spot to make the roster.

However, this preseason, Brossette has gotten the most carries among all the running backs on the team. In all three games combined, the LSU product has carried 45 times for 138 yards and two scores.

Bill Belichick tends to use a bevy of running backs each season to keep all of them fresh for the postseason. Could New England keep six running backs on the roster, though? It remains to be seen but there's also a possibility that Brossette is released only to be named to the practice squad.

1. Braxton Berrios

When Rob Gronkowski retired, many panicked and began to ask how New England was going to replace his production in 2019. The Patriots have seemingly substitute Gronk's production by having a million viable receivers on the roster.

Recently, Josh Gordon was reinstated by the NFL after being suspended indefinitely last December. Also, Super-Bowl MVP Julian Edelman and veteran Demaryius Thomas returned from injuries. Not to mention Philip Dorsett still being present on the roster.

On top of that, the team drafted N'Keal Harry in the first round of this year's draft and have had undrafted rookie Jakobi Meyers emerge from the shadows.

Provided that, second-year wideout Braxton Berrios may have an uphill climb to making the 53-man roster. Last year, New England used their sixth-round selection to draft Berrios out of Miami. He spent the entirety of the season on the Patriots' practice squad.

The former Hurricane has caught only three passes for 45 yards this preseason. Berrios has returned some punts during the preseason but that may not be enough to land a spot with the team.
