Antonio Brown is now a member of the New England Patriots after forcing his way out of the Oakland Raiders. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, he sought consultation from social media experts to expedite his release from Oakland.
“I will say that Antonio Brown, during the week, actually sought advice from social media consultants on how he can accelerate his release from the Raiders. And, this all started from his releasing the letter from Mike Mayock that he was being fined,” Mortensen said on Sunday.
Brown's use of social media was a driving force for drama revolving the receiver and Oakland. Multiple times, he used Twitter to break his news. Then, after finding his helmet and appearing to have all issues resolved, he used social media to create a frenzy.
On the week of his release from the Raiders, Brown posted an image on his Instagram story of fines received from the Raiders via general manager Mike Mayock. That sit didn't sit well with the team, as Brown and Mayock got into an altercation shortly after. Days later, he went back to social media to create the end of his Raiders tenure.

When the Raiders did release him, Brown posted a video to social media again of his reaction of being released, saying “I'm free!”
He signed with the Patriots hours after, making it look like his release was planned to get to Foxborough, who originally tried to trade for him.
