Going undefeated is tough, but they were given some breaks in their schedule that could help them get it done. Getting to play the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins twice is a real help and who knows if the Buffalo Bills can actually compete with New England.
The toughest stretch for the Patriots is from November 3rd to December 8th. During that stretch, they have to play the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Article Continues BelowThe good news for the Patriots is they get to play the Cowboys and the Chiefs at home and that is key, especially for the Chiefs game.
The Patriots are the defending champions and they are going to get every teams best shot. Last season, the Patriots suffered five losses and a couple of them were shocking. They lost by 16 points to the Detroit Lions, a team that wasn't very good last year, and also lost by a point to the Dolphins.
If the Patriots are 13-0 or 14-0 they will probably have home field locked up, so the team also needs to decide what is more important, a perfect record or keeping the players healthy and getting ready for the playoffs.
This isn't a story that is getting talked a lot about early in the season, but if they can get to eight or nine wins without a loss, there is no doubt going to be a lot of buzz around this story.
