Count O.J. Simpson among the group of fans, media members, and personalities reacting to Antonio Brown's release from the New England Patriots. After another week of drama surrounding the star wide receiver, Bill Belichick made the decision to move on from him on Friday afternoon.

Following his release, Simpson took to his personal Twitter account to share his reaction to the news. Unfortunately for Simpson, his Fantasy Football team took a big hit as well with this news.

Brown's tenure with the Patriots lasted just one game, where he caught four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. New England's Super Bowl odds rose quickly after their move to sign Brown after he was released by the Oakland Raiders.

To say that this season has been a roller coaster ride for Brown would be an understatement. He suffered severe frostbite due to cryotherapy, had an ongoing grievance with the NFL over his helmet, got into it with Raiders' general manager Mike Mayock, was released by the Raiders, signed with the Patriots, and then the sexual assault allegations hit.

Adam Schefter of ESPN has gone so far as to say that his release from the Patriots could be a “kiss of death” for Brown's future in the NFL.

The Patriots simply were done with the extra drama that Brown was bringing to the field. They will now move forward with Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman, and Phillip Dorsett as their top wide receiver.

No one knows what the next step for Brown will be, but for now, he is a free agent.
