New England Patriots retired tight end Rob Gronkowski feels that his life is finally on the right path, and he is excited about the direction that he is going. Gronkowski wasn't always a model citizen off the field while in the NFL, but he believes he has learned from the mistakes and is ready to move on.
“I truly believe going through those tough times, nine years — off the field, on the field — has brought me to this point and I believe I'm on the right path in my life,” Gronkowski said via ESPN.
Gronkowski's interview was part of a marketing campaign that he is involved with that is trying to push the NFL to allow players to use CBD based products to help with pain relief.
Article Continues BelowAt points, Gronkowski didn't know what the purpose was in his life, but he feels like he has found that helping guys still in the NFL.
“It's a purpose to have passion in my life, to have joy in my life. And then to inspire optimal health within myself, I need to do that in order to get to a peak and then I can bring it to other people. Because I know [in] the NFL, players are dealing with that kind of stuff, they're dealing with pain. I was. And I needed to walk away because I needed to do what was best for myself.”
It's good to hear that Gronkowski did what he needed to do to get his life back on the track. He was fun to watch on the field, but his quality of life is important. Perhaps someday we will get to see him on a football field again.
