Rob Gronkowski has an announcement to make. On Saturday night, the former New England Patriots tight end said on his Instagram story that he has a big announcement to make on Tuesday, 9:00 pm ET.

“I have a big announcement to make. I can’t wait to drop it on all of you. It’s gonna be fun, it’s gonna be wild, it’s gonna be a good time,” Gronkowski said. “Come check out my Instagram page this Tuesday at 9:00am to hear the news. Lets go.”

Gronkowski, 30, is still eligible to return to the NFL. According to league rules, he has until Saturday, Nov. 30 for the Patriots to grant him a return to the official roster. If he does not return by then (before their Week 13 game vs. the Houston Texans), he will not be able to do so in 2019.

Though retired, Gronkowski has not ruled out playing football in the future. However, as an advocate and investor of CBD products, he insists that he will not return to the NFL until CBD is legalized throughout the league.

Nonetheless, the Patriots are open to his return. Earlier in the season, New England owner Robert Kraft said he would welcome Gronkowski back with open arms if he were to return. He is still on a contract with the Patriots.

Since the retirement of Gronkowski, the Patriots have struggled to get production out of their tight ends. On the season, the position room has 18 catches for 242 yards and a touchdown; in turn, offensive production has not been the same as in 2018.
