On Friday morning, it was reported that former New England Patriots wide receiver David Patten passed away at the age of 47. After, the team's owner and head coach, Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick paid their respects to the former Patriot. Then, former quarterback Tom Brady did the same with a long message.

Patten won three Super Bowls during his time with Brady, and, of course, Brady was his quarterback for all three of them so their relationship was a good one. Patten spent four seasons with the team and three of them resulted in Super Bowls.
But, he passed away after a tragic motorcycle incident on Thursday night.
Lawyer Milloy, another former Patriot, also offered his condolences.

Just a tough turn of events and situation for the team and everybody involved in Patten's sudden passing. Richard Seymour also honored Patten.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick spoke highly of Patten as well.
“It breaks my heart to hear of David's tragic passing at such a young age….I am grateful to have coached David. He is an essential person and player in Patriots history, without whom we would not have been Super Bowl champions.”
Thoughts and prayers go out to everybody involved in this tragedy regarding David Patten.
