Through the first 12 weeks of his rookie campaign, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley continues to prove on the field that he's one of the league's brightest young stars behind his play.

This has been something that has continued to catch notice of other teams around the league, which has been the case for Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio ahead of their Week 13 matchup, lofting some major praise toward Barkley's way, according to Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic.

Barkley has been everything and more for the Giants offense as he has proven to be a legitimate dual threat out of the backfield with his tremendous impact in both the running and passing game. He is currently fourth in the league with 829 rushing yards, fifth with eight rushing touchdowns, and 10th with 71 receptions for 581 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

The 21-year-old clearly has game-changing ability that the Giants have made sure to utilize in great capacity with each passing week as he has surpassed 100 rushing yards four times, including over the last two straight games. Meanwhile, he has also remained a major factor in the passing game, with six games posting more than 50 receiving yards while recording at least four receptions all but twice so far this season. Barkley is also currently one of two running backs alongside Kansas City Chiefs' Kareem Hunt to have more than 800 rushing yards and zero fumbles in the 2018 campaign.

The comments from Fangio have made it clear that working toward limiting Barkley will be a major part of their game plan for this week's game. Alongside star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., these two are what makes the Giants' offense go on a weekly basis. This will be key in for Chicago to attempt to get the edge over New York on Sunday.
