The New York Giants have a tremendous opportunity to turn their season around in Week 5, as they face off against the Dallas Cowboys in what is going to be a battle between two teams that have both kicked off the new campaign poorly. For Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, however, he's not yet ready to make any presumptions at this point.

When asked if he believes New York's scoring drought will end on Sunday against one of the worst defenses in the league in the Cowboys, Jones refused to engage:

“I think we have to focus on us, and that's certainly our mindset going in,” Jones said Wednesday, via NBCFDW. “We'll look at what they do and understand their scheme, but it's about how we prepare and what we do on offense going into the game.”

The Giants have lost all four of their games thus far, and to make matters worse, they have been unable to score a touchdown over the past couple of matches. The Cowboys haven't fared too well themselves, and are 1-3 to start the season. Dallas also has the third-worst defense in the entire league.

It is also worth noting that former Dallas coach Jason Garrett, is now back with the Giants. He could provide some valuable insight for New York, and Daniel Jones was quick to acknowledge the same:

“His familiarity with a lot of the guys is certainly helpful when we scout them and look at them on tape,” Jones said. “The system is different. They're running a different defense with a different coordinator. But like you said, a lot of the personnel is similar and coach is very familiar with those guys. So yeah, that's helpful.”

Sunday's contest between these two sides is going to have major implications for both squads. For the Giants, another defeat will bring them to 0-5, and they might need to accept the fact that this is going to be another lost campaign for them.
