The New York Giants may be planning to have Eli Manning return for the 2019 season, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be looking for the quarterback of the future in the NFL Draft. That includes Dwayne Haskins.

During an interview session at this weekend's NFL Combine (via 247 Sports), Haskins confirmed to reporters that he has a scheduled meeting with the New York Giants' top brass this evening. According to the quarterback, he has already met with several teams, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, and the Oakland Raiders.

This offseason, Haskins hasn’t shied away from the idea of playing in the Big Apple, going so far as to name-drop some Giants legends in the process.

“I would love it,” Haskins said, via Newsday. “I grew up watching Eli Manning back when he had [Jeremy] Shockey and [Amani] Toomer and Plaxico [Burress]. I loved that team.”

Haskins is widely regarded as the best quarterback prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft, but with many teams likely needing help, it remains to be seen who will end up with the Ohio State passer.

Currently, the Giants have the number six pick in the draft. With many of the teams ahead of them already secure at the quarterback position, Big Blue might be the favorite to land Haskins on draft night. However, if the team is committed to bringing back Eli Manning for one last season, perhaps the Giants will go a different route and wait until the 2020 draft to address their quarterback needs.

During his last season at Ohio State, Haskins shined as the starting quarterback, throwing for 4,831 yards and a whopping 50 touchdowns, with just eight interceptions. Needless to say, many teams will be vying for his talent.
