Despite some rumors that swirled on Tuesday morning, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports that Alabama's Nick Saban is not interested in the New York Giants' vacant head coaching position.
Saban, who just tied the legendary Bear Bryant with his sixth National Championship on Monday night, has been connected to various head coaching jobs in the NFL since his return to the college ranks.
The debate is over. Nick Saban is the greatest coach in college football history.

After winning a title at LSU, Saban made the leap to the pros to coach the Miami Dolphins in 2005. In two years, Miami managed a subpar 15-17 record, and while the Dolphins hoped to keep Saban moving forward, he decided to take the Alabama job, signing an eight-year, $32 million deal.
A day after Saban won yet another National Championship with the Crimson Tide, former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians went on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and voiced his belief that Saban would consider accepting the Giants' head coaching job if it was offered to him.
“It would not surprise me. There’s a job he covets, and it just happens to be open. But he’s got a dynasty right now, [and] another dynamite recruiting class. Why he would do it, I don’t know, but it would not shock me if he did… because they’re the New York Giants. When we grew up, they were the thing.”
While Saban's immense success at the collegiate level is often connected to his proficiency in recruiting, his raw coaching ability and star power will make him a hot commodity should he ever open himself back up to coaching in the NFL.
