Joe Burrow will, in all likelihood, be the first overall selection at the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday evening — whether that's the Cincinnati Bengals picking from that position or stunningly trading the rights to the pick to a franchise.
However, due to the coronavirus pandemic closing non-essential businesses like barbershops, the 23-year-old LSU product is warning critics to hold their tongue on his hairdo.
“Nobody’s allowed to make fun of me tonight none of the barbershops are open,” the reigning Heisman Trophy winner wrote on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

Burrow had a deity-like season with the Tigers in the SEC in 2019-20 — an undefeated season capped off by winning the College Football Playoff's National Championship Game. In 15 games with the Tigers this past NCAA campaign, Burrow threw for 5,671 passing yards with an impressive 76.3 completion percentage, connecting on 60 touchdowns and throwing just six interceptions.
Burrow will no doubt be the top choice in the draft on Thursday night, even if rumors suggest the Bengals could trade the pick to the Miami Dolphins. But the Ohio native signal-caller right now is more concerned with how he looks on national television when he is inducted into the professional ranks.
ESPN will broadcast the 2020 NFL Draft conducted virtually, with stay-at-home orders preventing franchises from meeting together in the same venue during the current public-health crisis brought on by COVID-19, which includes Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones managing his team's draft decisions home alone with no interference in case he's feeling like making a trade.
It's a crowning achievement for the future first-overall pick Burrow, but just make sure you get his good side.
