Rumors of Sean McVay retiring after Super Bowl 56 to pursue an NFL TV analyst career started long before the game even started. However, the Rams head coach immediately shot down those rumors,  finally making that decision official on Friday night. With that in mind, TV executives are pivoting towards two new candidates.

Tom Brady, the legendary Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback, and Sean Payton, arguably the best coach in Saints history, are reportedly two figures that may become the next NFL TV analysts. This report comes from Adam Schefter.

While many people expect Brady to transition into a coaching role of some capacity, an TV analyst isn't a bad role to take for Brady. Arguably the best quarterback in NFL history, Brady is known to be a film junkie, obsessively studying game tape for his preparation. He'd know a thing or two about analyzing how offenses and defenses work in the highest level.

Payton, like Brady, is also an amazing fit for an NFL TV analyst. The former Saints coach won one title with the franchise, and helped make New Orleans into a contender during his time there with Drew Brees. With Payton reportedly not pursuing a new coaching gig anytime soon, this year could be a good opportunity for him to flex his skills on the booth.

The NFL offseason has been an interesting period for the broadcasting department as well. Troy Aikman, an all-time great on the field and in the booth, is set to leave FOX for ESPN. Former long-time partner Joe Buck is also on the move, potentially. We might see some new faces in very different situations when we tune in to our weekend football games.
