After waiting for so many years, the City of Brotherly Love has finally gotten to feel the joy of their beloved Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl. On Sunday night, the underdog Eagles upset the New England Patriots, 41-33, to capture Philly's first Super Bowl title in franchise history.

After the conclusion of Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, star offensive tackle Lane Johnson spoke about what the victory meant for the city of Philadelphia.

“It's huge. This city's been waiting for so long, especially going against the Patriots and get a victory. It's the best outcome possible,” Johnson said immediately after the game.

Johnson knew that the Patriots' offense, led by superstar quarterback Tom Brady, was going to be tough to slow down, so the battle was going to have to be won in the trenches.

“We needed to dominate the line of scrimmage. We knew Brady was going to be tough. I knew New England, defensively, couldn’t hang with us up front,” Johnson said. “We knew we had the better offensive line and defensive line.”

Although Brady threw for 505 yards, a postseason record, but the Eagles were able to hold the Patriots off down the stretch with defensive end Brandon Graham's sack and forced a fumble of Brady with just over two minutes to play in the fourth quarter.

Johnson, who said prior to the preseason that he would supply the beer for the city of Philadelphia if the Eagles won the Super Bowl, is going to stay true to his word during the upcoming championship parade.
