D.K. Metcalf was one of the most talked about prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft and many thought he would end up going in the top 15 picks. Unfortunately for the Ole Miss wide receiver, he was not selected until the final pick of the second round. The Seattle Seahawks decided to take him with the No. 64 overall pick.

While he wasn't happy about sliding in the draft, the fit in Seattle couldn't be better. Russell Wilson needed more weapons and Metcalf could be exactly what the doctor ordered for their offense.

Doug Baldwin's health has become a big storyline in the NFL. During the draft, Adam Schefter reported that he may have played his last down in the league due to injuries. If that is the case, the Seahawks will lean heavily on Metcalf in his rookie season.

There have been some concerns about Metcalf's production in college, despite having one of the most intimidating physical presences that the NFL has seen in a wide receiver in a long time. At 6-foot-3 and running a 4.33 40-yard dash, Metcalf only caught 26 passes for 569 yards and five touchdowns last season. He only played seven games due to injury issues, but the production is still a bit of a concern.

Despite the concerns, many believe that Metcalf will get things going in the NFL. Seattle certainly has confidence that he will become a massive threat for opposing defenses.

Let's dive in and take a look at three bold predictions for Metcalf in his rookie season with the Seahawks.

3. He Will Become Seattle's No. 1 Receiver

Tyler Lockett is a great talent, but Metcalf is going to be the No. 1 receiver in Seattle by the end of the year. He has the physical ability and raw potential to tear up the NFL right off the bat and Wilson is an excellent quarterback for him to work with in his first year.

Metcalf will be playing with a chip on his shoulder after sliding in the draft and will be looking to prove his doubters wrong. What better way to do that than to become his teams top wide receiver in his first season?

2. Metcalf Will Rack Up 850 Yards, 8 Touchdowns

From a statistical standpoint, Metcalf has never lived up to the hype throughout his career. Now that he has even more eyes on him from an amazing pre-draft process, Metcalf will turn that around in 2019.

Seattle will need him to be a threat each and every week and he will rise to the challenge. Metcalf will put up at least 850 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on the season. Those numbers will allow the Seahawks to remain dangerous through the air, even if Baldwin is unable to play again.

1. He Will Be Top-Three in Offensive Rookie of the Year Voting

Finally, the Seahawks are going to see their rookie wideout be one of the top offensive rookies of the year. He will end the season in the top-three when it comes to the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award race. While he won't end up winning it, this statement will be a message to the rest of the NFL.

Teams that chose to pass on Metcalf due to the concerns surrounding him will regret that decision. He has the talent and body to become one of the league's most dominant receivers and will get off to a good start in 2019.
