Josh Gordon is currently serving an indefinite suspension from the NFL after violating the league's substance-abuse policy yet again in 2019. Despite having trouble remaining on the field, Gordon still wants to play next season and hinted on social media at a reunion with the Seattle Seahawks if he's reinstated.
Idk if I’m allowed to be a free agent, but if I was; I like those bright green uni’s. 😂 😉

Since being taken in the supplemental draft in 2012, Gordon has had a handful of suspensions related to substance abuse. As a matter of fact, he missed two straight seasons in 2015 and 2016 due to substance abuse.
However, under the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, players in the NFL are no longer giving suspensions for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Rather than suspend players, the league is choosing to fine players for substance abuse.
While the new CBA helps Gordon if he's reinstated, whether he is reinstated or not remains to be seen. Even though the new CBA allows more wiggle room, it doesn't account for players who have had previous suspensions.
Therefore, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell could choose to give Gordon yet another chance at playing. Then, even if Gordon is reinstated, he could be subject to banishment from the league if he disobeys the parameters of his reinstatement.
This past season, Gordon joined the Seahawks after being released by the New England Patriots. With Seattle, Josh Gordon hauled in just seven passes for 139 yards before being suspended.
There's no doubt that the troubled wideout has intentions of returning to the NFL in 2020. However, it is unclear if Goodell is prepared to give Gordon a chance to redeem himself next season.
