Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson continues to impress, becoming the team's top option in the offensive backfield. With the 2020 NFL campaign now looming and another slate of running backs getting paid, albeit somewhat reluctantly so it seems, perhaps Carson will soon be in line for a massive contract extension of his own.
Although Chris Carson will let his play do the talking, the Seahawks running back was still quick to admit that his peers getting paid around him is of course on his mind.
”Of course, it's something that is on my mind,” Carson told reporters on Tuesday, via the Associated Press and Yahoo! Sports. ”You see a lot of guys that are starting to get paid, but I try not to let it distract me from the season. I push it away. But it is something that is on my mind, but I try not to let it affect me.”
Chris Carson also made a point to note that there have not been any talks regarding his future in Seattle as it stands today. Even after originally entering the league as a seventh round NFL Draft pick and despite a few injuries here and there, Carson has certainly proved his worth when he is on the field and healthy.
”He looks great. He hasn't had a snap out here that he didn't look good,” Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll recently said of Chris Carson, via the Associated Press and Yahoo! Sports. ”We don't have any hesitation with Chris at all. He's fine and ready to go.”
Unfortunately for Chris Carson and the Seahawks, though, Seattle will be forced to battle it out against three great defenses in the NFC West.
