Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar has rejoined the team's active roster after he was removed from the Commissioner's Exempt list, per ESPN's Field Yates.

Dunbar and New York Giants defensive back DeAndre Baker were sought out for arrest in May for an alleged armed robbery.

However, no charges were filed against Dunbar due to a lack of evidence. He was subsequently removed from the Commissioner's Exempt list.

This is a major win for the Seahawks, given they had been relying on Dunbar to hold down the outside corner spot opposite Shaquill Griffin. It was unknown whether Dunbar might still face discipline from the league office or not, but he seems to have avoided any further ramifications.

Seattle acquired Dunbar from Washington in March after Dunbar recorded four interceptions and eight passes defended in just 11 games. Dunbar was also vastly improved in coverage, with opposing quarterbacks completing just 60 percent of their attempts when targeting his side of the field.

The Seahawks now boast one of the better corner tandems in the game, considering Griffin made the Pro Bowl after a stellar 2019 campaign. Not to mention, Seattle's acquisition of Jamal Adams also bolstered what might be one of the top secondaries in football this fall.

It should be a gripping race for the NFC West title. The Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers battled right down to the final game of the year before crowning a champion last season, and both teams will be regarded as top contenders once again in 2020.

Dunbar is officially active, and will play a major role as the Seahawks hope to capture another Lombardi Trophy.
