For just the second time in the young 2020 NFL season, the dominant Seattle Seahawks were threatened by the Minnesota Vikings, who have only won a single game prior to the Week 5 encounter.

Quarterback Russell Wilson continued his stellar play and came through for the Seahawks to rifle a game-winning touchdown pass to sophomore wideout DK Metcalf.

“It came down to a clutch moment,” he told reporters. “I just saw DK run across the field and tried to zoom it into there to him.

“It was a tight window. He made an unbelievable catch, unbelievable play. Our offensive line blocked extremely well in that position. It was a special time and a special moment for us.”

The Seahawks started the game at a slow pace despite Wilson being able to hit his targets during early snaps. They were unable to find the endzone and score in the entire first half which ended on a 13-0 lead held by the Vikings.

The Seattle-based squad came out of halftime with a 21-point scoring outburst in the third quarter to gain control of the game. The Seahawks added six more points to their tally in the final canto to steal the 27-26 win from the hands of the struggling Vikings.

Wilson and his teammates now improve to a streaking 5-0 start for the first time in franchise history while the Vikings fell into a deeper 1-4 hole in the early stages of the season.

The Seahawks will have their bye week in Week 6 and return to action in Week 7 when they visit the dangerous Arizona Cardinals on October 25.
