A day after which there were a couple of blockbuster trades made during the opening round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks now have an eye on shaking things up as well on Day 2.
According to CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson, the Seahawks have had “exploratory calls” about making a move up in the draft tonight.
The Seahawks are currently slated to pick three times today, which include the No. 40 (from the Denver Broncos) and No. 41 overall selections. They also have draft capital with four picks on Day 3 and if team general manager John Schneider plans to complete a notable move, he has the Broncos’ 2023 first-round pick to work with as well.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport listed the Seahawks as a potential destination for former Liberty quarterback Malik Willis. More so, they met with former Cincinnati passer Desmond Ridder earlier this month.
If the Seahawks come away from this year’s draft without having selected a single passer, all signs would then point to the team handing over the starting quarterback job to Drew Lock for the 2022 season. The team does also have both Geno Smith and Jacob Eason on its quarterback depth chart.
The Seahawks boast plenty of other positions that are in need of reinforcements, from offensive tackle to defensive end.
