The Seattle Seahawks drafted running back Kenneth Walker III in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft in April. Unknown to many, however, the buildup to the decision was a stressful moment for the franchise.

Apparently before the Seahawks made their decision, they were unable to get a hold of Walker. They tried a variety of ways to reach him, calling his phone and his family's, texting him and even trying to contact his backup number. However, they were all being directed to voicemail.

Seattle shared a video of the intense moment inside the Seahawks' draft room, with someone even telling GM John Schneider that they might have to take the Michigan State standout blindly. Fortunately, they were able to contact him with about a minute left in their draft selection:

John Schneider opened up about the uncomfortable and rather frustrating situation, noting that they thought Kenneth Walker was taking a nap:

“Ken Walker didn't want to pick up. We thought he was taking a nap or something. And so, [things] got a little hectic,” the Seahawks exec said.

It is certainly a good thing it didn't become a bigger issue. However, here's to hoping that Walker learned his lesson to make himself easily reachable, especially in the most important moments of his life and professional career.
