Recently it was revealed that Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady tested positive for COVID-19 back in February after the team celebrated their Super Bowl victory with an epic boat parade that was heavily controversial.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians was asked about that, and he gave a very interesting answer, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.

Arians' comments are a bit concerning, but the Bucs are the only team in the NFL to reach 100% vaccination level for players and staff.

So, who all tested positive for the virus? Nobody really knows, but the Buccaneers' boat party was one that was discussed as a question mark due to the severity of COVID-19, especially at the time.

Fans took issues with the players not masking up during the celebration, so it certainly isn't a surprise that “a bunch of people had it,” as Arians said.

The NFL has tightened up protocols for COVID-19 ahead of the 2021 NFL season, and it heavily favors vaccinated players, so it is a good thing that the Bucs are fully vaccinated and will at least be protected in that regard. Still, Arians' comments are a bit of a surprise due to the nonchalant way he responded to the February outbreak for the Buccaneers.

The Bucs open their season on Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys to kick off the NFL regular season.
