Antonio Brown of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently walked off the field against the New York Jets in Week 17.
It is still unclear about what exactly went down, but there has been some speculation that Brown was injured and that he didn't want to go back on the field. The head coach of the Buccaneers, Bruce Arian, wasn't happy about that.
The Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady opened up with Antonio Brown in his “Let's go” podcast. Brady had this to say about the star wide receiver,
“We used to think that we were robots out there and we’d go out there and play and it’s more than that now.”
“There’s a humanity to everything that we’re doing out there.”
What Brady means by this is that no matter what you see on the field, professional athletes are still humans off of it. He is offering support to his former Buccaneers teammate as it doesn't look like Brown is going to return to this team in the future.
It surely is a tough loss for the Buccaneers because Brown is one of the best wide receivers in all of football. Unfortunately for the Buccaneers and Brown, his mental health has taken over his life and he hasn't been able to get it under control.
Brown has done some questionable things in his life and it can surely be put on the mental health issues that he does have. All that everybody can hope for at this point is that he gets the help that he actually needs and he comes back with a clear mind and hopefully can return to the football field one day.
