The NFL regular season will officially kickoff when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, September 9. Tom Brady's squad is expected to be right in the thick of a title race yet again while the Cowboys will try to gain control of the NFC East.

Superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski is certainly fired up for the opener. The Buccaneers veteran was on Good Morning Football on Friday and listed all the reasons that he loves Thursday night games.

It's hard to dispute anything Gronk is saying. He loves Thursday night games in general, he gets some extra days off afterwards and fans will be back in the stands. All of those are ingredients in what should be a special night for the Buccaneeers.

Tampa Bay has goals of repeating as Super Bowl champions after they took out the Kansas City Chiefs in February. Gronk was a big part in that championship run including his two touchdowns that he had in the Super Bowl.

Gronk also spoke about what makes Brady so great even in the late stages of his career.

“Man just how determined he is year in and year out. He's always trying to take his game to the next level, which is pretty incredible and makes him so great.”

With the regular season opener less than a week away, fans are starting to sense and anticipate the opening kickoff to get things going between the Buccaneers and the Cowboys.
