The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints are set to face one another in Week 1. All eyes will be on Tom Brady and Drew Brees in their first NFC South bout.

With nearly two weeks until the game, Brady is looking forward to facing Brees (per Garrett Stepien in 247Sports).

“I mean, I love getting on the field against anybody,” Brady said. “I mean, I love the sport of football and competing in it. Whoever it was on the other side of the field, I'd be excited to play. And obviously, when you go against players like Drew and a great team like that, you know there's not a lot of margin of error.”

When the schedules for the 2020 season were released, everyone circled the Week 1 matchup between the Buccaneers and Saints. Regardless of what team fans affiliate themselves with, Brady versus Brees is shaping up to be must-watch television. During his time with the New England Patriots, Brady went 4-1 against the Saints.

In the past three seasons, New Orleans has reigned supreme in the NFC South. However, upon the arrival of Brady this offseason, the Buccaneers are being talked about as a team that could dethrone them in 2020. Brady spoke about how impressed he is with the Saints organization.

“So there's not going to be a margin of error, which is why they're tough to beat, they're always in the playoffs, always competing for Super Bowls. I've got a lot of respect for them, their program, how they run it. It's going to be a tough game, but we'll be excited when we take the field in a couple of weeks.”

There's no doubt that both Brady and Brees are nearing the end of their careers in the NFL. Still, the contest between both future Hall of Famers is shaping up to be an exciting game to help kickstart the 2020 season.
