The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially booked their place in Super Bowl 55 following Sunday night's massive win against the Green Bay Packers. Unsurprisingly, the great Tom Brady stepped it up for his side when it mattered most, leading the Bucs to a trip to one of the biggest events in all of sport. For his heroics, the 43-year-old is reportedly set to pocket a cool $500,000 following Sunday's victory.
This report comes via Adam Schefter of ESPN, who also details a few more highlights that resulted from Tampa Bay's win:
🏈Bucs win the NFC Championship.
🏈Tampa becomes the first team in 55 years to play a home Super Bowl.
🏈Tom Brady is now going to his 10th Super Bowl – 10th! – a record that always will stand.
🏈And as a kicker, Brady collects a half-million dollar incentive for doing it.

Those are a couple of noteworthy facts that could each warrant their own news write-up. However, since there is a ton of money involved, what naturally captured our attention is the fact that Brady is going to go home half a million dollars richer after 60 minutes of football. No wonder he was playing like a man on a mission in this one.

Tom Brady has earned $2.875M of the $4.5M of incentives in his contract for this season. $1.125M is for individual achievement. $1.75M is for playoff advancement. Winning the Super Bowl will be worth another $500,000.

Brady finished the Buccaneers' 31-26 victory with 20-of-36 completed passes for 28- yards to go along with three touchdowns and three interceptions. It was far from a stellar performance for the three-time Pro Bowl QB, though. After an impeccable first half which included an awe-inspiring 39-yard touchdown pass to end the second period, Brady looked like a different player after the break. He threw all of his interceptions in the second half, which nearly cost his team the victory.
Brady will have a couple of weeks to sort out whatever issues he may have, as he and the rest of the Bucs prepare to face off either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl.
