Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady did not want teammate Lavonte David to get caught up in the moment following the team's NFC Championship victory.

David explained on the All Things Covered Podcast he got a bit emotional after the Bucs beat the Green Bay Packers for the George Halas Trophy. Brady spotted David and made sure to let him know the team still had another game to play:

“When I realized that it was real, when I realized it was like all the other stuff doesn’t really matter unless it’s the Super Bowl was like after we won the NFC Championship,” David said, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “You know me, I was all happy and sh-t, it was my first. I’m geeked up. Then like I guess somebody was crying. And I guess like, I heard [Brady], just like, ‘What the f–k you crying for? We not done yet.'”

Leave it to the six-time Super Bowl champion to keep his Buccaneers teammates motivated through the final game of the season.

Brady will be competing in his 10th Super Bowl this Sunday. He has won quite a bit in his career but also knows what it is like to lose on the biggest stage. The veteran quarterback would rather his teammates experience the winning feeling.

One can certainly understand David's reaction, however. The former All-Pro has been with the Bucs since 2012. He has endured numerous years of losing and frustration and is finally competing for a Lombardi Trophy.

Brady will hope David and the rest of the Buccaneers defense can keep Patrick Mahomes and a high-powered Kansas City Chiefs offense at least somewhat in check when the two teams meet on Sunday in Tampa.
