The Tennessee Titans have had a roller coaster of a season so far, but the machine seems to be picking up steam. The offense has looked amazing the last couple of weeks, while the defense needs help in the secondary. With the NFL trade deadline right around the corner, we take a look at a potential Titans trade that could happen.

How the Titans are playing right now, they have the potential to catch fire in the second half of the season and finish as a top team in the league. However, for that to happen, the pass coverage must vastly improve. Tennessee has dealt with numerous injuries and is utilizing a limited number of players in the secondary.

For that reason, we could see the Titans front office pull the trigger on a trade. There are a handful of options that could come to fruition. It's important to note that Tennessee is going all-in on a Super Bowl run these next two years. So they might be willing to trade for a bigger named cornerback. With that said, here are two Titans trades that could happen before the 2021 NFL trade deadline.

Titans Trade

JC Jackson

JC Jackson has been involved in numerous trade rumors and the Titans have been involved with most of them. Due to the New England Patriots being a lesser team, they might consider trading away a star player for draft capital.

This trade would make a ton of sense for both franchises. The Patriots receive the draft capital they need to continue improving the roster for their rebuild. Additionally, it removes a nice chunk of money from the team's salary cap. Meanwhile, the Titans acquire a solid cornerback who can provide much-needed consistency in the secondary.

This is one of those trades the Titans should highly consider making, as they need to find a way to improve the pass coverage. The pass rush has been phenomenal so far, which would make JC Jackson a smart trade target for Tennessee.

Xavien Howard

Similar to the Patriots, the Miami Dolphins might want to consider punting this year and prepare for the offseason. If they do, Miami could catch acquire a nice trade package by dishing Xavien Howard away. He demanded a trade before the start of this season but was able to come to terms with Miami. However, with the Dolphins playing poorly, it might make sense to trade him away.

Tennessee would be a perfect destination for Xavien Howard. He'd immediately become the starting cornerback for the Titans and would be on a Super Bowl-caliber franchise. With how well the Titans' pass rush has been, Howard's life would become much easier than it is now with the Dolphins.

Although he's one of the best cornerbacks in the league, the Titans might be able to obtain Howard at a decent price. Two early draft picks for Howard and a late-round draft pick would likely get the job done. We'll see what happens, as there haven't been any recent rumors at the moment. But with the NFL trade deadline approaching, we could see Xavien Howard's name connected to the Titans in the coming weeks.
