Ryan Tannehill ruffled some feathers with his rather controversial comments when asked about Tennessee Titans rookie Malik Willis. But it doesn't look like the beef is getting any spicier.
Malik Willis was asked about the comments during Friday's media availability session. The Titans rookie humurously feigned ignorance about the issue, before revealing that not only were they “cool”, but that Ryan Tannehill had him and a few other rookies over at his house.
“Oh man, we chopped it up. It wasn't ever anything negative. Ryan's a good a dude, man. He had us over at his house. Everything's cool, man,” said the Titans rookie.
Malik Willis was asked about Ryan Tannehill’s mentor comment: “What comment?” 😂
Willis went on to say that Tannehill invited all the offensive rookies to his house and the comment was nothing negative. “Ryan is a good dude.”

Mike Vrabel doesn't sound worried either. The Titans coach was asked to weigh in on the matter on Friday, but was supportive of Ryan Tannehill's comments rather than perturbed by them.
“I thought Ryan handled that very well,” the Titans coach said. “I thought he was genuine. I thought he is authentic. And I know Ryan is a great teammate. Everybody here knows he’s a great teammate. And that is not his job.”
Ryan Tannehill's comments were blown out of proportion, but his motives were clear. The Titans QB is not done playing high-level football just yet. He's no mentor. But that doesn't mean he'll go out of his way to be a bad teammate to Malik Willis.
