Denver Nuggets guard Monte Morris is excited to see teammates Torrey Craig and Mason Plumlee attend the Team USA training camp.

Morris says it's “phenomenal” to see his teammates get an invite. He pointed out that it will certainly be a great learning experience for the two, and that he is hopeful Craig and Plumlee can share what they will learn in the camp to him during the Nuggets' own summer camp.

Plumlee, 29, was already added into the training camp roster several weeks ago. The 6-foot-11 forward/center was a member of the 2014 men’s national team that won the gold medal at the FIBA Basketball World Cup. In all nine games of the tourney, he averaged 2.0 points and 2.0 rebounds off the bench.

Craig, for his part, was added into the training camp roster over the weekend. He was tagged as a replacement for Landry Shamet — who pulled out due to health concerns.

The Team USA training camp will open on August 5 at UNLV’s Mendenhall Center. Daily practices will be held from August 5 to 8 and will be capped by a USA Blue-USA White exhibition game that is scheduled on August 9 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

After the Las Vegas camp, the finalists take a short break and resume training from August 13 to 15. They will then play an exhibition match against Spain at the Honda Center in Anaheim on August 16. The official 12-member roster for the 2019 USA Basketball Men’s World Cup Team will be announced on August 17.
