Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 4 ending explained

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Star Wars, Entertainment

This week's episode starts with Obi-Wan deliriously trying to make sense of his surroundings after Tala rescues him from Darth Vader. He is submerged into a Bacta Tank to heal his burned arm. As he undergoes the healing process, flashes of the Sith Lord make him panic, an act that calls the attention of Tala. The Jedi then asks her where Leia is. It is discovered that the young princess is being held by Reva in their headquarters, Fortus Inquisitorius.

Kenobi and Tala, meanwhile, implore the aid of Roken to help them rescue Leia. The latter reluctantly agrees as they hatch a plan to enter the said fortress. In the end, Tala tells the Rebel group that she can use her status as an Imperial officer to break inside the facility.

Reva interrogates Leia to discover more about the path used to help Force-sensitive individuals. The inquisitor then tells her that Obi-Wan is dead and no one is coming to rescue her. At that cue, Tala arrives and attempts to enter the Inquisitors' fortress. The officer in charge denies her entry, an act that causes Tala to improvise. She finally gains admittance as the officer guides Kenobi to enter in another manner.

As she's being interrogated, Leia is successful in resisting Reva from using the Force on her. The Third Sister takes on another approach by grabbing hold of Lola, her personal droid. Kenobi, on the other hand, is being guided by Tala to reach Leia's location. Unfortunately, Tala is summoned by an officer who grows suspicious of her, one who she incapacitated right away.

Finally giving in to frustration, Reva gives Leia to a couple of Stormtroopers to torture after refusing to give her the information she's looking for. Kenobi, moving closer to Leia, discovers the remains of several individuals encased in orange crystal before hearing Leia's screams. He asks Tala for a distraction as the Jedi rescue the young princess. The officer then abruptly calls Reva out to tell her about the Path, an act that gets the attention of Reva who also grows suspicious of Tala.

Without Reva in sight, Obi-Wan rescues Leia. All the while, Tala admits her involvement with Kenobi and directs Reva to go to Florrum to find the Jedi. As this happens, the whole fortress is alerted to Obi-Wan and Leia escaping. Tala subdues her guards and she tries to meet up with the pair.

While Kenobi faces several stormtroopers, a window holding back the water is damaged. Tala takes the princess away as the Jedi uses the water to eliminate them. Once that's done, the trio tries to escape with a disguise only for Reva to spot them near the hangar. As the Third Sister ordered them to be taken, a pair of speeders attack the station and rescue them.

Reva's failure attracts Darth Vader's attention with the former admitting that she can track Kenobi and find the path. Without their knowledge, Lola's droid was fitted with a tracker as Obi-Wan, Leia, and Tala head to an undisclosed location from the Inquisitors' fortress.

What just happened? A Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 4 recap

As compared to earlier episodes, episode four was much shorter and straightforward in its intent. All that happened here is Tala and Obi-Wan rescuing Leia from the clutches of Reva. It also gave more light to the Rebel cell supporting Tala and the effort to rescue Force-sensitive children from the Empire.

More than that, this episode helps set up the eventual rematch between Kenobi and Darth Vader in the coming episodes. With only two left, there will be a lot to resolve as the Jedi tries to fulfill his mission of returning Leia to Alderaan.
