On an NBA Reddit thread, one of the questions asked was “Who is the most reliable reporter when it comes to your team?”
UnbreakKwOw who has a Los Angeles Lakers logo as their aviator had the best response of the night. It was a very simple two-word answer, D'Angelo Russell.
Of course, the locker room problems were what ultimately forced the Lakers to trade Russell to the Nets for Brook Lopez.
Russell got Nick Young to admit in a video that he was cheating on his then-girlfriend Iggy Azalea with a 19 year old he had met in a club.
Somehow the video that Russell recorded got out and was released to the public. It ultimately led to the breakup of Azalea and Young and caused all kinds of issues between the Lakers and Russell.
He was booed by his home fans in the next game and the team completely isolated him. After the incident, Ramona Shelburne of ESPN had the details on the troubles.
“It's bad,” one team source told ESPN.com's Ramona Shelburne. “It's about as bad as it can get. There were trust issues already. Now there's no trust.”

Russell told the media after it happened, that the video was never supposed to get out.
“No. It wasn't my intention,” he said. “We joked around, played around all the time, said crazy things, and this just got in the wrong hands. It wasn't a prank. It wasn't something for everyone else to see. It was for my eyes, his eyes only. That was it.”
Although it did get a little better with Russell, and he did build up the trust with his teammates a bit, it was never great after the situation, and the Lakers finally decided to move on from him.
