Stephen Curry finally made his highly-anticipated return to action on Saturday as the Golden State Warriors hosted the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of their first-round matchup. Dubs coach Steve Kerr opted to have Curry come off the bench in this one and as soon as he checked in, the home fans went bonkers.

The capacity crowd gave Curry a hero's welcome as he came into the game at the mid-way point of the first period (h/t Shayna Rubin of the Mercury News):

Curry has missed the Warriors' last 12 games due to a lingering foot injury which is why it's quite understandable that Dubs supporters were more than happy to get him back — especially for a key matchup against reigning league MVP Nikola Jokic and a formidable Nuggets side.

Incidentally, Curry did not take a single attempt in his first six minutes of action. The Warriors star is reportedly going to be on a minutes limit in this one, with coach Kerr giving Steph 25 to 30 minutes of play. Be that as it may, it would not be surprising if the greatest shooter of all time explodes later in the contest.
