NFL fans were anticipating a bombshell announcement from Aaron Rodgers on his Tuesday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. Unfortunately, the Green Bay Packers star made clear at the beginning of the segment that he wasn't going to be dropping any breaking news.
He did, however, offer some huge praise to Matt LaFleur, giving a nod in the direction of the Packers coach after having won his second MVP award in the past three seasons.

LaFleur took over the Packers job from Mike McCarthy in 2019 and has since led the team to three consecutive 13-win seasons. Rodgers has been playing some of the best football of his life under LaFleur's tutelage, and he doesn't seem to think that's coincidental, suggesting his coach played a huge role in earning his MVP awards.
Article Continues BelowMany football fans have been critical of LaFleur's coaching tenure in Green Bay, suggesting he's only had so much success because he has an MVP-caliber quarterback at his disposal. While having Rodgers would make any team better, the 38-year-old refused to downplay the impact LaFleur has had on the latter stages of his career.
Rodgers took home the MVP over Tom Brady this season after helping guide the Packers to a 13-4 record. He threw 37 touchdown passes and just 7 interceptions while racking up 4,115 yards across 16 games. It was the second consecutive MVP trophy for the Packers star, though the team failed to make the splash they were hoping for in the playoffs.
With Rodgers' future in Green Bay firmly up in the air, his latest comments on LaFleur should have Packers fans feeling somewhat reassured.
