The storyline that continues to headline the NFL offseason is Aaron Rodgers' future with the Green Bay Packers. Will he ask for a trade, come back, or retire? At this point, no one knows. But, GM Brian Gutekunst clarified on Wednesday that he promised Rodgers they would sit down and work things out, however, Gutekunst never said he'd agreed to trade the quarterback.

Via ESPN's Rom Demovsky:

Rodgers has yet to make a decision on what his next move is, but the Packers did just hire QB coach Tom Clements, who Rodgers is a huge fan of and previously worked with. Also, the Green Bay signal-caller reportedly played a huge role in the hiring of Clements. That's definitely a good sign in regards to Rodgers returning to the team.

There have been rumors the Denver Broncos could make a run at the veteran quarterback and also, it's important to note that Davante Adams' future with the Packers could play a big part in Rodgers' fate. The star wideout is set to hit free agency this offseason and has yet to agree to an extension with the organization. There is the chance they use the franchise tag on him, but Gutekunst has made it clear he rather not. Rodgers and Adams are a dynamic duo and it would be hard to imagine one without the other.

Needless to say, it's going to be an interesting next couple of months.
