Over a month has gone by since the Green Bay Packers succumbed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a controversial NFC Championship Game. Although the Packers can't do anything to reverse the outcome of the game, head coach Matt LaFleur admitted he still regrets some of the decisions he made.
Of course, two of the most striking moments of the game came when Rodgers opted to throw the ball when he had enough room to run all the way to the end zone on a third down from the 8-yard line. LaFleur also had a questionable decision when he brought in the Packers' kicking unit right after Rodgers had an incomplete pass in the final frame.

His mindset was, We got four downs here. It comes down to communication, and that’s something I gotta learn from and be better with him.”
The Packers' chances of winning the game completely fell out of the window when LaFleur decided to go for the field goal instead of aiming for a touchdown. After the sequence, the Packers never got the ball back and ultimately absorbed a 31-26 loss at the hands of the Buccaneers. The loss stings to this day because this past season could've been Rodgers' best shot to win another Super Bowl before he either leaves or retires.
Matt LaFleur certainly didn't like the outcome of the game, but the lessons he learned will help him make better decisions and lead his team to greater success in the future. Aaron Rodgers will surely be great again next season, so the Packers will try to make another run.
