Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur and San Francisco 49ers tactician Kyle Shanahan are colleagues and close friends who go a long way back since their time in Washington. With that, their cold gesture towards one another was particularly noticeable.
After the Packers escaped with a 30-28 win in Week 3 on Sunday, LaFleur and Shanahan met at midfield but barely acknowledged each other. Interestingly, it came after reports of tension between them arose because of the Aaron Rodgers trade drama during the offseason.

To recall, Mike Silver of Sports Illustrated dropped the bombshell on the rumored beef between Matt LaFleur and Kyle Shanahan stemming from the Aaron Rodgers trade talks during the summer. According to Silver, Shanahan's inquiry about Rodgers' availability created a tension between the him and LaFleur.
Article Continues BelowLaFleur and Shanahan have since denied the talks, with the Packers coach saying that his 49ers counterpart was just doing due diligence and that it had no affect in their relationship.
“Kyle’s a great friend of mine,” LaFleur told Sports Illustrated. “Absolutely, I hold no ill will towards him. I understand. He’s trying to do whatever he thinks he needs to do for his football team. He’s got a responsibility to everybody in that organization, and if there’s an opportunity, I don’t hold that against him. So, yeah, that will have no effect on our relationship.”
Obviously, action speaks louder than words. Of course, it's possible that Shanahan was only disappointed to their loss to the Packers, but still, it will only fuel more rumors about a possible beef between them.
