There's nothing quite like stirring the pot before a huge Week 3 matchup that will feature the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.
The pot stirring has been done by Sports Illustrated's Mike Silver.
According to Silver, in a thread he posted on Thursday, there was growing tension between Packers coach Matt LaFleur and 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan following the Aaron Rodgers trade rumors that persisted all summer.
THREAD 1) On Wednesday, Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he holds no ill will toward 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan, his longtime colleague & friend, in the wake of the Niners' offseason pursuit of Aaron Rodgers. Shanahan also downplayed any tension. The two teams play Sunday night…

8) At that point, according to several people familiar with the call, Shanahan got visibly upset and hastily left the room. In his eyes, he had merely done due diligence on behalf of his franchise. But it was clear to all that Matt LaFleur viewed it differently…

The thread goes on and on and quite frankly, sounds like a load of crap from Silver. Both coaches have denied any tension between the two and although they likely wouldn't admit if there was, this seems like more of a way to dial up even more intensity for this matchup between the Packers and 49er than anything else.
The reality is that Rodgers is still with the Packers and the 49ers are off to a 2-0 start with Jimmy Garoppolo. Those should be the headlines entering Sunday night's matchup, not a rumor that Shanahan “hastily” left the room on draft night because he was mad at Matt LaFleur's brother, Mike.
On Sunday, none of it will matter. The Packers will look to get to 2-1 after a horrible opener against the New Orleans Saints and a bounce back win against the Detroit Lions. Rodgers played much better on Monday night and will look to ride that wave of momentum forward…for Green Bay…in a Packers uniform.
