The Green Bay Packers overcame some struggles early in the season and are headed to the playoffs. Their victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 18 ensured Green Bay had more football left on their schedule. After the game, head coach Matt LaFleur heaped praise on starting quarterback Jordan Love.

“He’s a tough-minded sucker. His family did a hell of a job raising him. He’s about the right s**t,” the Packers head coach said after their Week 18 win, via ESPN's Lindsey Thiry.

Love completed 27 passes against the Bears defense on Sunday. He threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, as well. The first-year starter helped the Packers win their final three games to complete their push for the playoffs.

Jordan Love, Packers punch ticket to playoffs

Green Bay entered their Week 18 clash with the Bears controlling their destiny. A win meant they booked their ticket to the 2024 NFL Playoffs. Chicago opened the scoring with a first quarter field goal, but the Packers soon took the lead on a Dontayvion Wicks touchdown.

Wicks caught both touchdown passes from Love on Sunday. His second of the game came in the third quarter to give Green Bay a 14-6 lead. Packers kicker Anders Carlson added a field goal halfway through the fourth to ensure their victory.

Other Green Bay stars rose to the occasion alongside Jordan Love. Wide receiver Jayden Reed only caught four passes in the win. However, he averaged 28 yards per reception against the Bears. Furthermore, running back Aaron Jones picked up 111 yards on 22 carries.

Jordan Love and the Packers hit the road next week. And they have a familiar face standing in their way. Green Bay travels to face Mike McCarthy and the Dallas Cowboys on Wild Card Weekend. Let's see if Green Bay can pick up a huge playoff victory over their former coach next Sunday.
