Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made a point of bringing back wide receiver Randall Cobb last season, one of his favorite weapons from over the years. While there was some concern as to how they would keep him for 2022 given their salary cap situation, Cobb has taken one for the team.

Cobb is accepting a pay cut of $5.5 million for this upcoming season, per Tom Silverstein:

Instead of making $8.5 million, he'll earn just $3 million. Definitely a big difference, but it goes to show how badly Cobb wants to stay with the Packers and chase a Super Bowl alongside his Rodgers. The veteran was acquired by Green Bay last August in a trade with the Houston Texans, proceeding to collect 28 receptions for 375 yards and five touchdowns in '21. He missed the last five games of the campaign because of a core injury.

While the numbers don't jump off the page, Cobb is one of the Packers' more productive wideouts, notching an average of 13.4 yards per catch. Given his relationship with Rodgers, he'll likely be a top-three option for the Packers next season alongside Davante Adams and Allen Lazard.

The most important thing for Randall Cobb though is staying healthy. He's missed a minimum of five contests in each of the last three seasons. Green Bay will certainly want him on the field as much as possible.
