The Green Bay Packers have had some offensive players standout through three weeks in the preseason. Among them, quarterback Tim Boyle has been their highest-graded player in the preseason per Pro Football Focus.

Boyle, an undrafted rookie for the Packers in 2018, likely never imagined his first career preseason start would come on a shortened field in Winnipeg. Nonetheless, the Eastern Kentucky product manned the offense and was efficient from his first snap.

Against the Oakland Raiders on an 80-yard field, Boyle completed 16 of his 25 passing attempts for 211 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to the game, Matt LaFleur planned on giving Aaron Rodgers some reps with the starting offense.

After seeing the conditions of the field, LaFleur erred on the side of caution and held his franchise quarterback out of the game. It was telling though that the rookie head coach decided to go with Boyle as the first quarterback to take the field.

Throughout the preseason, Boyle has been the third quarterback on the depth chart behind DeShone Kizer. Due to Kizer's continued struggles, the team may be considering promoting Boyle behind Rodgers instead.

In the first three weeks of the preseason, the 24-year old quarterback has delivered with 358 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. After seeing his stats, it's no surprise that he's been the highest-graded player on the team this preseason.

The Packers will have one last preseason game on Thursday night against the Kansas City Chiefs. Boyle will have one more chance to showcase his ability to provide the Packers with a reliable option at backup quarterback.
