New country, same bad New England Patriots. After a Week 10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Frankfurt, Germany, questions about head coach Bill Belichick's job security are only increasing.

Asked if the speculation about his future with the team he has coached for over 20 seasons bothers him, Belichick told the media “Well, I just do the best I can every day,” per Pro Football Talk.

It was another poor performance from the Patriots offense that led to the team falling to 2-8 on the season. QB Mac Jones took five sacks and threw an interception before being pulled yet again.

Backup Bailey Zappe was given the chance to lead the team' final drive of the game, with the outcome very much still on the line. The Pats trailed the Colts 10-6 with just under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

But the drive ended with a Zappe interception that sealed the win for Indianapolis.

Kraft address brutal 2023 season

The loss came on a day in which Patriots owner Robert Kraft spoke about the unprecedented situation he finds his team in.

“This is our thirtieth year that I’ve had the privilege of owning this team, and I’ve never been 2-7,” Kraft told NFL Network's Rich Eisen. “So it’s really disappointing and I hoped that things would be a lot better, as I know our fan base did.”

“And I hope today is a chance to reset and make this a much better year. This isn’t what we were expecting to happen this year.”

Instead of a reset, it was a continuation of the Patriots' season from hell. A season that might lead to Belichick's ouster from the organization he has had so much success with.
