Ndamukong Suh is still out on the free agent market, and there is some thought that he could potentially land with a perennial Super Bowl contender.

Jared Dubin of CBS Sports names the New England Patriots as one of the top landing spots for Suh, noting that the Patriots have $12 million to spend and would not have to surrender a compensatory draft pick if they sign the defensive lineman.

Dubin also notes that defensive lineman Malcom Brown is no longer with New England and that fellow defensive lineman Danny Shelton doesn't look like he will be back either, so the Pats have a need up the middle.

It makes plenty of sense, as Suh should not be too expensive, and the Patriots are known for making these types of signings.

The 32-year-old spent the 2018 campaign with the Los Angeles Rams, playing in all 16 games and finishing with 59 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a couple of fumble recoveries, and four passes defended. He helped the Rams make it all the way to the Super Bowl before losing to the Patriots.

Suh, who played his collegiate football at the University of Nebraska, was originally selected by the Detroit Lions with the second overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He spent the first five years of his career with the Lions, making four Pro Bowl appearances while earning three First-Team All-Pro selections.

Suh then signed a massive free-agent contract with the Miami Dolphins, but was incredibly disappointing, residing in South Beach for just three seasons before being cut.
