New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has continued to be hampered by a recent ankle injury. However, that won’t be enough to keep him out for Thursday night’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Gronkowski is expected to play despite his questionable status and the fact that he missed practice on Tuesday.

Gronkowski has been dealing with this ankle injury since before Week 3 against the Detroit Lions. However, it hasn’t been serious enough to keep him out of the Patriots’ last two games against the Lions and the Miami Dolphins.

Gronkowski is currently the Patriots’ leader in receiving yards this season with 233 and is second with 17 catches. He had four catches for 44 yards in their 38-7 win over the Dolphins on Sunday, although he sat out the final quarter of the blowout.

With Gronk expected to play, the Patriots are set to have their full complement of receiving weapons for the first time this season.

Julian Edelman, Tom Brady’s trusted No. 1 option, is expected to play his first game in a long while. Aside from missing all of last season due to a torn ACL, he also served a four-game suspension to start this season due to PEDs. He will join recently-acquire receiver Josh Gordon, who just made his Patriots debut against the Dolphins.

With those three big names now back in the lineup, the likes of Phillip Dorsett, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Chris Hogan will likely slide down the Patriots’ receiving pecking order for the foreseeable future.
