Antonio Brown has had an eventful year when it comes to controversies. However, the latest issue involving the New England Patriots receiver seems to be the biggest one yet. If the issue is proven as fact, it could cost him a lot more than just fines.

Britney Taylor has stepped forward and filed a civil lawsuit against Brown, citing multiple sexual assaults against the controversial wideout.

Brown's legal team has come forward and denied the allegations against their client. According to Josina Anderson, the team is also looking to countersue Taylor.

In her statement, Taylor said that she met Brown at a bible study class in 2010.  He then hired her seven years later as his personal trainer to improve his flexibility due to her experience as a gymnast.

However, the lawsuit stated that Brown allegedly sexually assaulter her twice during their sessions in June 2017. They immediately ended their professional connection.

Brown apparently reached out to Taylor to apologize and continue their trainer-athlete connection. She reluctantly agreed, but Brown allegedly raped her in May 2018.

Brown's legal team rebuked Taylor in their statement, saying that Taylor extorted money out of the star wideout. Brown apparently invested $1.6 million on her business project. It also said that the two were in a “consensual personal relationship”.

Brown's legal team is reportedly looking to take legal action:

Mr. Brown denies each and every allegation in the lawsuit. He will pursue all legal remedies to not only clear his name, but to also protect other professional athletes against false accusations.

Both the NFL and the Patriots are conducting independent investigations regarding the allegations.
