Paul Pierce received a multitude of congratulatory messages after playing his last NBA game, when the L.A. Clippers were eliminated in this year's playoffs. Although it was not the story book ending he had hoped for, players from past and present still paid tribute to him, many calling him one of the best players to ever play the game.

However, for Brandon Jennings, he believes the former finals MVP does not deserve the praise. Jennings pointed out very bluntly after Pierce's final game that the Celtics great has only one championship ring. Many took to Pierce's defense and mocked the Washington Wizards backup point guard for his audacity to speak against Pierce due to the lack of credentials Jennings has had so far in his own professional career.

Now, The Truth has fired back at the 27-year-old, during his appearance on KG's Area 21. He gave a sarcastic shoutout to Jennings for the strong comments he made against him and even called him a “weak player.”

Even after Jennings took his statement back and deleted the tweet he made, the damage had been done Pierce's friends and supporters did not take it lightly, including Shaquille O'Neal, who ripped him for being disrespectful to a legend of the game.

Pierce won a championship back in 2008 with the Boston Celtics, and finished second on their all-time scoring list. Jennings may be a decent player, but in order for him to make a bold claim against an expected future Hall-of-Famer, he will need to make sure he at least comes close to the number of seasons Pierce has lasted in the NBA and also reach some of the achievements he's had in his stellar career, or he will continue to receive a lot of criticism.
