Cillian Murphy reveals his thoughts on a Peaky Blinders movie

There's a part in the interview with Robbie discussing how big of a fan she is of the show. She presses Murphy on the show and tells him what it was like for him.

“In my opinion, there are two kinds of people in this world,” Robbie said. “There are the people who are obsessed with Peaky Blinders, and then there's the people who haven't seen Peaky Blinders. I obviously sit in the first category, so can we please talk about Tommy fucking Shelby for just one minute?  I mean, that was years and years of your life.”

Tommy Shelby was the iconic role that Murphy played in the series.

Cillian responded and said, “Yeah, it's like 10. That was also a 10-year adventure. We started shooting at the end of 2012.”

Then, Robbie asks him about a movie. “Is there going to be a spinoff movie?” she asked.

“I mean, I'm open to the idea. I've always thought that if there's more story to tell…” Murphy replied.

“Please do it. Please! Obviously, I've now revealed that I am a big fan of yours, not just Peaky Blinders,” Robbie reponded.

Time will tell if the excitement from people like Margot Robbie will spark a Peaky Blinders movie. Either way, it's nice to know that Cillian Murphy is open to bringing Tommy Shelby to the big screen.
